Berkhamsted Arts Trust Accounts

Supported financially by Dacorum Borough Council and by Berkhamsted Town Council, the Berkhamsted Arts Trust, originally known as the Berkhamsted Arts Association, was formed in 1961. It became a charity under its present name in 1977. The Diary was first published in 1985 to coordinate a Spring Arts Festival when there were just 12 entries- it now carries over 130 and has a print run of 12,500. It is delivered with Berkhamsted Living Magazine to all addresses in HP4.

Copies are also available in local Public Libraries, Berkhamsted Civic Centre and Berkhamsted Town Hall.

The Trust's main source of income is an annual grant from Dacorum Borough Council. This grant is prominently acknowledged in 'The Arts for Berkhamsted', and in addition, each member organisation that applies for financial support from the Trust is required to state in programmes and publicity material that it is "a member of Berkhamsted Arts Trust which is supported financially by Dacorum Borough Council".
